The unique characteristics of this stone is mostly flat rock only a few inches thick and ranges from about 10 to 18 inches wide and is covered with moss and lichens. Cold Water Canyon a fantastic building stone. Cold Water Canyon is a natural porous lava flagstone that comes in flat semi rounded to irregular shapes. It can be used for veneer (65 to 80 sqft per ton) or dry stacked walls, decorative borders, bridges, steps, and pond edging. Color ranges from reddish brown to black with moss and lichens are on the top surface.
It is packaged in a wire basket attached to a pallet and is priced by the ton. It can be hand picked in small amounts and bought by the pound.
